UC Cooperative Extension Forces Combat Beetles

Southern California landscapes in six known counties are faced with an epidemic situation.

First, there was the issue of the Polyphagous Shot Borer decimating local trees,  now we have the  Goldspotted Oak Borer killing them. John Kabashima, Environmental Horticulture Advisor, Emeritus, from the University of California Cooperative Extension in Orange County, has been working overtime with local agencies and other UC researchers diligently investigating these tiny invaders.
